Cleaning Printing Presses, Rollers, & Ink Trays with Dry Ice Blasting

No additional secondary waste is produced when using dry ice blasting. After dry ice blasting and a simple wipe down of non-painted parts, the presses are ready to run again.

Printing Presses & Rollers

Many types of printing press rollers are easier to clean in place with dry ice blasting. Dry ice blasting safely removes deposits and buildups that may cause registration problems and misalignment of rollers in printing processes. There are no solvents used with dry ice cleaning so secondary disposal and waste management are minimized. Dry ice blasting can be performed with the rollers in place without disassembling equipment and with less chance of damage to the rollers.

Dry ice blasting is perfect for removing caked inks and coatings on printing press rollers. Many coating types are not soluble after drying; dry ice blasting solves that problem because it is a dry cleaning process.

Ink Trays & Bars

Dry ice blasting is the ideal solution for cleaning ink trays effectively removing hardened ink and coatings that may be resistant to any solvent. The shape and fit of the trays are not changed by dry ice blasting. Dry ice blasting is non-abrasive, leaving behind a smooth surface.
